The Palais el Bahia is one of the most famous monuments in Marrakech.
Built in the nineteenth century, the palace was the sultan’s residence, the name of the palace means “Brilliant”, it was in fact built with the desire to create the most beautiful and grandiose palace ever built in the world.
In addition to its immense architectural beauty, Palais de Bahia is famous for the presence of numerous gardens.
The palace housed the sultan, his wives, concubines and numerous children from multiple marriages.
Today the palace, skilfully restored, presents itself in all its beauty, with the colorful mosaics found on the ceilings and walls.
